Autograph Books for Church
This is an excellent craft idea for the end of camp, vacation bible school or any other "end of" group activity. The project involves creating an autograph book and then acquiring autographs to complete it! Since kids love to get and give autographs, this is a special keepsake to commerate the end of a great event!
First you must begin by creating the autograph book. It's not hard, just paper and staples. Let them decorate the cover. If you've got some drawing skills and a photocopy machine. Create a special cover they can color. If you don't want to use staples, pre punch holes and use yarn to tie the book together on the binding.
Inside the book you want to have the kids write down 10 or 15 different people they need to get to sign their autograph book. If everyone is sitting in a group, let them write the list. If you've got time - it could be photocopied on the sheets they just assembled in their book - really, that's up to your creativity and time constraints.
Ideas for autographs.
1) Your teacher or group leader
2) Your Pastor
3) Someone who can recite all the books of the Bible
4) Someone who has a name that starts with "J" just like Jesus
5) Someone that has a bible with them
The list is endless, but can be really fun when you personalize to your group's activity!
Good Luck!
